1. Scope

This policy explains how the operator handles information in the production version of the musical instrument app kalimpad and when responding to inquiries.

2. Information in the app

kalimpad does not require an account, record performances, display advertising, or analyze usage. It has no feature that automatically sends names, contact details, location, advertising identifiers, or performance data to the operator. Key, pad size, labels, timbre, sustain, haptics, appearance, custom colors, vertical positions, and tutorial completion are stored on your device to retain your preferences. Touch positions are used to produce sound, visuals, and haptics. Latency test measurements are displayed within the app and are not automatically sent to the operator. Device language and appearance settings are used to adapt the display. OS backups and diagnostic information independently handled by app stores are governed by your device settings and the policies of those services.

3. Information received through inquiries

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, display name, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to reply, investigate issues, and maintain support records. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. We use Google Gmail to send, receive, and store email. Email content and related information are therefore processed by that service, and Google’s privacy policy also applies to its handling of this information.

4. Retention and sharing

We retain inquiry information only for as long as needed to respond and maintain necessary records, then delete information that is no longer needed. Where retention is required by law, we follow the applicable retention period. We limit access and take measures such as protecting the account to prevent unauthorized disclosure. We do not sell inquiry information or use it for advertising. Except for processing by the email service, disclosures required or permitted by law, and similar lawful circumstances, we do not provide it to third parties without your consent.

5. Deletion and requests

You can remove local app data using your operating system’s app removal or data clearing features. Check your OS or cloud settings for the handling of backups. For access, correction, deletion, restriction of use, or other requests concerning inquiry information, contact us below. We will verify your identity and respond in accordance with applicable law.

6. Changes

We will update this policy when features or information handling change. We will announce important changes before they take effect through the app, its distribution page, or another appropriate channel, and obtain consent where required by law.
